I’m Stephen. Software engineer, occasional writer & gamer.

I’m currently living in New York City. I was born and raised in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. I help startups, agencies, and friends of the web connect with users. I’m an engineer by trade, but historically I’ve worn many hats. Some titles I’ve held: developer, designer, production assistant, manager, gamer, hiker, nerd — among many others. Sometimes, I write. Currently, I’m a Staff Software Engineer at the NBA building streaming applications on Connected Devices. Previously, I was at Vimeo.

I enjoy working with honest folks, and solving challenging problems. I graduated from The University of North Texas in 2014. I studied Interdisciplinary Art & Design, and created my first website in 2010. I’ve been building web apps, interfaces and toying with CSS ever since.

While I’m a WordPress evangelist by heart, I prefer writing JavaScript. Most of my professional work happens in React Typescript, and on occasion I’ll dive into good ol PHP. You can check out my GitHub projects here.
